2022 -Supporting Bridge to Recovery

Bridge To Recovery (BTR) is a clinical addiction resource center with a gentle Christian emphasis. BTR has several programs and strives to offer recovery opportunities to all in need. We have many free services and our low-cost programs are designed to be high-value and highly professional. We believe in providing healing from addiction and addressing issues people are facing by meeting their mind, body, and spirit needs.

BTR offers a loving, supportive, and healing environment; personal attention you won’t find in a hospital or institutional setting. Our charitable mission is to remove the financial barriers people face when they are desperately seeking recovery.

2021 - Supporting Luke Day Foundation

2020 - Daniel Meggs Foundation

The Luke Day Foundation strives to help lift some of the financial burdens that come with losing a child such as medical and funeral expenses, mortgage/rent payments, utilities, food, and more.

Luke was pure joy. He had a smile on his face when he woke up in the morning and until he went to bed at night. He found happiness in everything. He laughed during meal time when the dogs sat by his chair waiting for for food to fall. He danced every time music came on shaking his whole body, bouncing, and pumping his right arm back and forth. He loved to follow his brother and play with all the same toys his brother enjoyed. He spent most of his life playing with dinosaurs and Hot Wheels because that's what Adam liked. He made life fun and knew how to make others feel that same joy in life's simple things.

The Meggs Foundation was formed in 2019 by four families in south Charlotte to assist Daniel Meggs in paying medical bills and day-to-day living expenses as he was going through aggressive cancer treatments. Daniel was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in 2017 at the age of 27, three weeks prior to exchanging wedding vows with his high school sweetheart. Sadly, Daniel passed away on February 21, 2020 and survived by both his wife and son born just two weeks after Daniel’s death.

2019 - Supporting “Reed” Parlier Memorial Scholarship Fund

Reed Parlier was one of a kind: a witty, vibrant, generous and kind young man with aspirations of being a game developer in the future.

His life was tragically cut short during the April 30 shooting at UNC Charlotte, but on Oct. 24, UNC Charlotte and UCPS announced a joint partnership to ensure that his positive impact will be felt for many years to come: the Ellis “Reed” Parlier Memorial Scholarship.

The Ellis Reed Parlier Memorial Scholarship will cover the recipient’s four-year cost of tuition at UNC Charlotte.

At The Luke Day Foundation we strive to help lift some of the financial burdens that come with losing a child. We want to help as much as possible and where we can. We can help with medical and funeral expenses, mortgage/rent payments, utilities, food expenses, and more.

He loved to follow his brother and play with all the same toys his brother enjoyed. He spent most of his life playing with dinosaurs and Hot Wheels because that's what Adam liked. He was a snuggle bug. He would snuggle all day if he could and wrap his arms around you in a tight hug. He squished your cheeks with both hands to give you a big open mouth sloppy kisses. He made life fun and knew how to make others feel that same joy in life's simple things.

Made possible by the generous contribution of an anonymous donor and friends of the Parlier family, the Ellis Reed Parlier Memorial Scholarship will cover the recipient’s four-year cost of tuition at UNC Charlotte. (I pulled this from the website below - assuming we can make some small tweaks).
